Small Groups
We are becoming a church of small groups. To that end we invite everyone; members, regular attenders and seekers to join one of our groups. Joining a group is a way to meet people and become part of the church quickly. It is also an opportunity to grow in faith as the group studies the Bible, prays, and works together
We have a number of groups to choose from. And we are always looking for people who would like to start a new group. If you would like help connecting with a group please contact the church office whumc@verizon.net.
Some small groups take a summer or holiday break so please check with each leader for the current schedule.
Sunday Night Ladies' Group: Meeting Sunday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm in the church library. For more information contact Nancy Riekes at 544-9584.
Monday Morning Group: Men and women gather together Monday mornings from 9 to noon in the Fellowship Hall. They are currently studying the prophets of the Old Testament and the letters of Paul (Disciple III). For more information contact Steve Buckingham at 783-3501.
Tuesday Night Group: Men and women gather together on Tuesday nights at 6:30 pm at Cate and Derek Brandes' home in Pasco, WA. For more information contact Cate or Derek at 544-8767.
Wednesday Night Group: Men and women gather together on Wednesday nights at 7:00-8:30 pm at Ed and Sue Branham's home in Kennewick, WA. Childcare available. For more information contact Ed or Sue at 585-3562.
Thursday Afternoon Ladies' Group: Meeting Thursday from 3:00 to 4:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall. For more information contact Lisa Riedinger at 205-7247.
Thursday Night Men's Group: Meeting Thursdays at 7:00 pm at Faith InnKeepers. The men in the group server as mentors in a new program aiding men that are newly released from incarceration as well as sharing our "faith walk" with Christ. Saturday Morning Group: Men and women gather together on Saturday mornings at 8:00 in the church Fellowship Hall. This Disipleship I class is an overview of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. For more information contact Moses Jaraysi 582-2002.
Saturday Morning Group: Men and women gather together on Saturday mornings at 8:30 in the church library. For more information contact Phil Rieke 539-7286.
Young Adult Group: Men and women that are in college, out of college, never went to to college, married or unmarried and have not had children. We will get together,as our schedules allow, to discuss life and how God has a part in it. Trust us when we say that you don't have to be perfect to be part of this group.
